5th Hyde Beavers

5th Hyde Beavers meet on a Monday night between 6:30 to 7:45pm at Hyde Central Methodist Church.

Beaver Scouts, usually referred to as ‘Beavers,’ are the youngest section of the Scouting family. Beavers is open to all children (boys and girls) aged from 6 to 8 years and we have a waiting list for thoes not old enough to join. Activities are based around making things,  the outdoors, singing, playing games, going out on visits, investigating nature, listening to stories, learning how to be safe and most importantly, making new friends.

At 5th Hyde, Beavers do not go camping – but they do enjoy sleepovers in the church hall! Taking part rather than meeting a set standard is key for Beavers, gaining a number of Challenge Awards and Activity Badges.

If you wish to come down and see us, please contact us to arrange a visit.

5th Hyde Beaver Colony, Tameside provides Scouting in an area mainly consisting of Hyde, Newton, Godley and Gee Cross in Tameside Metropolitan Borough in the scout county of Greater Manchester East.
