5th Hyde Climb the height of Mount Fuji!

29 June 2014

Raising funds to send James to Japan, the sponsored wall climb was the idea of the Scouts who wanted to have a sponsored event that would raise the money needed – helping James to his £3,500 target. The idea was that each Cub and Scout would count the number of times they climbed the differing walls at the Manchester Climbing Center, with the aim of climbing a total of 3776 meters, the height of Mount Fuji – the highest mountain in Japan. Thanks to support from the Manchester Climbing Center, who donated £500 off the entrance fee. In total the Cubs and Scouts raised a staggering £1,751.75.
