St George's Activity Day

21 December 2013

We started the day with about 100 other Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorers and leaders in the hall at Lyndhurst Primary School all ready for a day filled with fun. Lots of activities went on outside on the field, there was Tomahawk throwing for Scouts, a new activity for our group, bouncy castles for all the young people throughout the day. We had a great time with the huge Earth ball playing football against other groups within the District and even got our face painted and hair sprayed to add to the colours of all our neckers.

After having lunch together in the hall we went back to more activities, making swords and shields, following a treasure hunt and squirting water from the fire engine hose with the mayor as well! We then all got back together and renewed our promises and watched some from around the District be invested into their sections.

Finally we all chose a word that described the day and put it on the “cool wall” to let everyone know what we thought of the day. It was brilliant!
