Autumn Holiday Hostel Adventure in Hardraw

29 December 2012

5th Hyde Scouts were joined by some of the older Cubs to experience a weekend in the Yorkshire Dales at Harris House, Hardraw.

The weekend, funded by a Tameside Council Holiday Grant, saw 18 young people set off into the Dales on a minibus adventure in the autumn half term holidays! We visited Bolton Castle in Wensleydale, where the Cubs and Scouts explored the medieval castle, got lost in the maze, watched falconry displays and had a go with a long bow. We also visited Hardraw Force – a huge waterfall a short walk from Harris House, the old school converted into a hostel where we stayed.
